Case: Files in a department of a governmental organization are being tracked to find out what is causing delays. Most activities within the department are carried out in one week. It turns out that another department is responsible for most delays. 
2 Monitor performances • Information is presented on competencies of employees. Colors and percentages indicate to what extent employees meet categories of competencies. • Using a proper visual representation, it’s immediately apparent that education is a category of competencies where improvement is needed.
