MagnaView presents Pathos, data analysis and reporting tool for clinical pathology |
|
Wednesday, 26 May 2010 |
|
PALGA is a unique national database in the field of clinical pathology. Any laboratory in the Netherlands in this field stores data on tests in both the national database and local databases. MagnaView, in cooperation with Atrium Medical Center, has developed Pathos, which allows pathologists and their co-workers to analyze several years of data on tests in an interactive, visual way. The data visualization and analysis really helped them to gain insights in the lab processes and patient diagnostics. Patrick Riemers presented Pathos at a workshop for local PALGA coordinators in Utrecht, the Netherlands (May 20). |

Succesful Beta application of MagnaView Process Analysis Suite in mental health care |
|
Wednesday, 12 May 2010 |
Improvement of complex processes requires careful analysis of process data from a multitude of points of view. For this purpose, MagnaView has developed Process Analysis Suite (PAS). PAS is a comprehensive and easy to use suite of 100+ different analyses ranging from waiting times, latent skills, process bottle necks, etc. PAS takes a simple event-based dataset as input and immediately delivers these analyses, allowing the user to navigate and filter mouseclick-only.
A Beta version of PAS was succesfully applied in a project on mental healthcare processes at the Mental Health Institution Eindhoven (GGzE). GGZE is faced with the need to improve access times. The goal of the application was to provide insights is the process variance and process performance of the ‘Kinder & Jeugd’ department. Process data was analyzed by Lenneke van der Zanden, who did her graduation project at GGzE.
For the GGzE, the project resulted in important conclusions amongst others about the variation of processes and the actual effects of waiting time. GGzE has asked MagnaView to extend the analysis to other areas. |
