Our inspiration for developing the best possible visualization software, partly comes from computer science. Besides, Design and Art play a most important role in everything we do. iDance - Simone van Wijk iDance is a tool for easily creating dances, using a strong, visual language to define dances. With iDance, a choreographer can create a dance, play it back, and then share the dance with others. Sharing is possible in local communities, i.e. within a dance school or among friends, but also in global communities. iDance is under development. iDance is the project Simone van Wijk carried out at the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2006. In 2007 Simone worked on improving motion capture, which is necessary to continuously extend the iDance language with new moves. Roel Vliegen worked on a model for automatic beat induction, which is required to connect moves to the underlying music. Moreover, the design of the iDance community was set up, as well as the underlying architecture for an iDance portal. The following images give an impression of iDance.
